The ushering in of a new year often marks a season of renewed commitments, fresh resolutions, and goals. Last year was special for our team and we’re inviting you to take a look at what we’ve accomplished.
We launched pop-up shops throughout New York State and Washington DC in 2017 and curated multiple Spotify playlists packed with rhythm and creative energy for our community. Various holiday sales were launched and we even added a fourth roast to our inventory! Nicarao - an earthy and smokey roast - has joined our collection as every dark roast lover’s premier choice.
We couldn’t leave our medium-roast lovers in the dust, so we also stocked up on our Jacmel, Rubén Darío, and Estelí grounds. Our team was pleasantly surprised to discover that quite a few coffee skeptics found a new love for coffee after tasting one of our roasts!
“I’m not a big coffee drinker, but I just tried the Jacmel roast…and it’s delicious! ” said our friend Alejandra at a Long Island pop-up shop.
At every pop-up shop our team worked diligently to create both a sensory and cultural experience for long-time coffee drinkers and coffee novices alike. All attendees were taken on a flavorful journey across our Dávila Kafe table with tastings of each roast. Sales were successful across the board at our pop-up shops and we’re excited to see more growth in the new year.
Missed us last year? No worries. Bookings are in the works and we plan on bringing the Dávila Kafe experience to a city near you, both on the west coast and east coast!
Additionally, you can expect NEW podcast episodes on “Kafe with David and Gaï,” made readily available through Soundcloud. We’ll continue to foster this vibrant community by bringing together creatives and coffee lovers around the world while fueling minds and sharing a cup of Dávila Kafe. I hope you won’t miss out on any of the exciting conversations we’ll have throughout the year.
As always, we’re working to bring you the best of Haiti and Nicaragua through coffee, culture, and community. I hope you’ll tell a friend and join us for the ride!
Vamos!
